Local 66 and 79 are Likely to Strike

Brothers and Sisters, It is with considerable regret that I write as a courtesy to inform you that Local 66 and Local 79 will in all likelihood be striking IDCA (Independent Demolition Contractors Association) member contractors commencing Sunday at midnight, July 1st, 2013. The IDCA canceled every meeting that was planned with Local 66 and without a date scheduled to start negotiations, it leaves us no choice. Both contracts expire at midnight. . The unions will be engaging in primary strike activity wherever the IDCA companies are. The picket signs will make clear these jobs actions will not be against independently signed demolition contractors.
