Non-union ABC missed their opportunity
“Today’s attempt by the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) to thaw and gut the newly passed Resolution 1866 is nothing but a final, desperate effort to undermine this important piece of legislation. For months, throughout the legislative process, the ABC had numerous opportunities to participate in crafting this law, and at every step of the way refused. The ABC did not offer a single amendment or constructive suggestion. Every piece of progressive legislation, meant to improve and protect the construction industry is always met with the same cries of “doom and gloom”. It is time for the ABC to stop being a hindrance to improving our industry, and join with the rest of the community, political, labor and industry leaders in finding ways to improve and grow our industry.” - Steve Flanagan, Business Manager
