First Pre-Apprenticeship Program in New York State

History was made with the implementation of the first Pre-Apprenticeship program in New York State on February 2, 2024. Our LEARN Program takes place at Roosevelt High School that allows High Schoolers the opportunity to begin learning the skills of our trade while gaining essential experience. After graduation, they will be fast tracked into Apprenticeship Programs with the help of our own member, Steve Vargas. Assemblywoman, Taylor Darling gives credit to Assistant Business manager, Vincent Alu and PAC Director, Joshua Slaughter for helping throughout this process.
